Major Catch-Up

I'm so sorry for the lack of blogging, but our lives have not been that exciting lately. I have been in the hospital a few times for severe dehydration, and other than that, we spend a lot of time haning out at home. For some good news, I am on some new drugs that make me vomit much less. I'm down to usually once in the morning. I still feel nauseated all the time, but as long as I don't vomit, I can go out in public. Yeah!

Here are some fun things happening at our house...

Sophie and I made some fun snowflakes. She loved putting glitter on them!

Sophie wanted to dress up in one of my shirts, so I put it on her, and we had a fun little tea party.
She loved the lemonade!
And here is her famous cheeser smile...
We spent Thanksgiving with my parents. I didn't take many pictures at all, but here is my dad shoving cans into his pants to take into the garage. He looked like a homeless man doing this! It made for some good laughs.
And here is Sophie being so cool!
Every year my Mother-in-Law designs a fantastic ornament for the family to put together. I help her make the parts for everyone to put together. Here is our finished Dutch Santa.
I am so excited for Christmas I can hardly stand it. Mostly I just love the weeks leading up to Christmas! Yeah!

Remember, Remember the 5th of November!

Guy Fawkes night was fantastic! I am so glad to have an English friend who was willing to introduce us to culture! Here is Justin stuffing our guy.
I did the top, and Justin did the.... well, you get the idea...

Sophie wasn't quite sure what was going on...
Justin and Simon showing off the guys.
On the way there Sophie ate a bunch of cheetos, and we all know how she feels about her hands being dirty...
Getting the fire ready...
They're about to be ash!
As you can see by the evil glint in my eye, I was totally ready to take these guys down. It's kind of scary how exciting this really is...
First we made some delicious s'mores! Gotta love gluten free graham crackers!

Sophie was blinded by the light!
Yummy!
If they only knew...
In goes the first guy...
It made quite a large fire...
Dancing around the flames. Yeah, we are weird!
The next guy getting ready to go in... Simon looks serious about this!
The girls threw this one in. Yeah!
So cool!

If you don't currently celebrate this holiday, I highly recommend it! You get to build a guy, a fire, and burn things. What could be better!

Halloween!

I know our posts have been kind of non existent the last little while, but we haven't done much since I get so sick while pregnant. I am now 15 weeks and still puking, but I don't feel as miserable as before. At least I have all feeling back in my arm and my broken ribs are healing well. Dang the violent vomiting.

I felt great for the weekend of Halloween, and it was so nice to be around other people. Here we are at the trunk or treat Justin's work put on.
Justin was Iron Man, and I was the Black Widow (Scarlett Johanson's character in Iron Man 2). We had a blast making our costumes (we don't believe in purchasing our costumes because it's not as much fun)!

Oh yeah, and Sophie was a duck, but she wasn't very fond of the hood.
Sophie and Tucker had a blast on the stairs at our ward party. We think they were thinking there were balloons attached to those strings.

Kristy as a witch with her witch cackle, and me trying to look as Black Widowish as I can...
Saturday night we took Sophie trick or treating in my parent's neighborhood.
My dad took us around in style. Their street is extremely long with tons of space between houses, so this was a big help.
My mom loved taking Sophie to the door, and it didn't take Sophie long to catch on to the whole concept. My parent's neighbors were quite generous, and after only 10 houses, Sophie has enough candy to last until next year!
Sunday we had our traditional holiday pancake breakfast. (I'm so glad I found a delicious gluten free recipe.)
Here are our jack o lantern pancakes. Each of them had... personality!
And that night we made some delicious Cinnamon rolls. As if we hadn't already had enough sugar. Sophie loves to help Mommy stir.
