Last week we got our family pictures taken. We also got Sophie's pictures taken for her 1 year old announcements. Megan Schaugaard took them, and she did a fantastic job! These are some of my favorites... (Don't worry Grandma, we're bringing copies for you.)

Bountiful Basket
I am trying to get a drop off location in St. George from Bountiful Basket. For those of you who don't know what this is, essentially, it's a fabulous way to get discounted fruit and vegetables from growers in the Utah/Idaho/Arizona area. I know a couple people who are involved in Hurricane, and they love it. This last week the bountiful basket included:

My New Haircut
Sophie constantly pulls my hair! She grabs it and simply won't let go. Well, before this transformation, my hair was down to my waist (I grew it out extra long to be Buttercup for Halloween); that's a lot of hair for Sophie to grab. My solution was to always keep it in a ponytail. Well, I'm not fond of having a ponytail every day, so this is my solution. My friend Karly did it, and I absolutely love it! Not only is it easier to keep away from Sophie, it's easier to do, brush, wash, just about everything is easier when you hack off 7 inches of hair! I'm sure there will be sometimes that I miss the old do, but I am so excited for this new look!
We were in the process of doing the dishes, hence all the open cabinets.

Sophie is 11 Months Old!
Today marks Sophie's 11 month mark (and it is also my brother-in-law's birthday; happy birthday Kody!). Sophie develops more of a personality every day. She has become quite the comedian, and she is always trying to get us to laugh. She is quite the character, and everyone loves to play with her (especially all her friends at church). She is such a happy baby, and she is so adorable. She is really close to walking, so we'll probably be posting her first steps soon!
We got Sophie this little push toy to sharpen her walking skills. She loves it and plays with it often.

Halloween
Halloween began for me a while ago. Justin and I decided to do a Princess Bride theme, and when I realized I wouldn't find a Princess Buttercup costume anywhere, I decided to make one. I also wanted to make a shirt for Justin to be Wesley. My brother-in-law and his friends wanted to be Robin Hood and his men in tights, and he wanted me to make his costumes. So with the help of my fabulous mother-in-law, all this became a reality. We had a fantastic Halloween! We went to Justin's brother's birthday party, and we also had a fabulous ward party (we forgot our camera, so we don't have any cool pictures of that). At the ward party, we won a $15 gift card for being able to name the most couples in the ward! Yeah, date night, here we come!
Here I am sewing a merry man costume. Notice I'm still smiling at this point. This costume got very frustrating toward the end.Justin and Sophie came along to help.
My brother-in-law kept insisting that he knew how to make the collar work, so he took over the sewing project. You can see how worried Anna is. (Actually, she was relieved to be done with the thing. The pattern was pretty messed up).
Sophie wanted to play with their swords.
I thought I didn't have any pictures from the party, but I just stole this one off Gary and Meg's blog. Thanks Megs! Gary as Johnny Cash, Tyler and Nicole as basketball players, and us.
