Last Supper With The Colleys

In September our best friends moved to Missouri. It was a very sad time for us. We will miss them so much!
We got together for one last outing before the packing day.
We have decided that Katie and Maxson are destined to be married one day...

Simon was Sophie's very best friend.

She wasn't happy about them leaving either.

Katie Eating Solids

September is when we introduced Katie to solids. She wasn't so sure about rice cereal...

Later, when my mom and I were making peach jam, she got to sample the crushed peaches. She was a fan!

Katie Rolling

Katie started rolling the end of August. She definitely wants to be like Sophie, and she is trying much too hard to be big.

Katie's Blessing/Will's Farewell

We were truly blessed to have so much family present for Katie's special day. We decided to do her blessing at my parent's church the same day my little brother Will spoke for his mission. It was wonderful!

Megs took our beautiful family picture. She is amazing!

Justin gave Katie such a sweet blessing. It was further testiment to how special this little girl really is. My Grandma Sullivan bought Katie this dress. I absolutely love it!

Grandma Green and Katie

Grandma Green and Grandma Sullivan were so awesome to make the trip.

Jordan

The girls on the food prep.

We had so much food, it was crazy! The other advantage of combining our day with Will's was my parents provided most of the food for the event--double bonus!

I felt so bad for my cousin Parker. He was sick, so he had to sit outside so as not to infect others. I think this picture perfectly captures the way each of us feels when sick...

Sophie loved having adoring cousins around. I didn't want Sophie to feel so bad about Katie having a special dress to wear, so I made her a skirt to match the one I made for myself. She loved matching her mommy.

The proud parents with the soon-to-be missionary. My parents are now empty nesters, and they say it's fabulous.

Me and my Bug.

My baby brother *sniff*.

Sandy and Wade made Will this awesome cake!

A trip to grandma and grandpa's wouldn't be complete without Sophie's cousins dressing her up.

She is such a pretty baby!

Emmabelle

This is Jen's soul mate. Okay, so he's quite a bit younger than Jen, but the plan is for them to marry after his mission... in three years.

And this is what Will thinks about it...

Everyone sacked out after a fun day.

This is what color everyone's mouth was after eating Will's BOM cake...

Jen was brave enough to hold Katie. It was really hot by this point, so we let Katie cool down a bit in just her diaper. I made her some white ones just for this occasion...

Daddy did such a good job blessing our Bug.

My mom with Emmabelle and Katie. They are already best friends.

Kelsie's Birthday and Stuff...

Justin's niece Kelsie turned 13, so she's officially a teenager, and she is embracing that title. This picture makes me laugh because I guess this glasses look is the new thing, and I find myself wondering what things I chose to wear in the name of being cool--probably more than I'm willing to admit...

Our girls were very tired that day.

Look at Katie all snug on the couch. These were definitely the pre-rolling days...

I'm not sure what the stoic look from Justin is about, but he is handsome nonetheless.

Grandma and Grandpa are so sweet with our kiddos.

Once again, Sophie was very tired...

Katie was up and the life of the party by this point.

Brandon decided Kelsie needed her birthday spankings, but Kelsie put up a good fight. In the end, she took her spankings though...

Present time!

Kelsie got everything a 13 year-old girl could want--lots of make-up and hair supplies.

Doesn't Katie make the cutest little present! Don't worry, she wasn't for Kelsie...

Here we are looking so attractive.

Jamie stacked all of Sophie's puppies. Sophie was not happy about it though...

And check out Sebastian and Flounder on the floor. They were mine when I was little; yes, the love of "The Little Mermaid" lives on. Luckily, the desire to one day be Ursulla didn't transfer as well. On a side note, a sure fire way to scare off unwanted dates is to tell them that when you were little you wanted to be Ursulla. When I told Justin, he loved me even more; that's when I knew it was true love. On a further side note, I have since given up my desire to be an deranged, obese, and evil octopus--yeah, I'd say I've definitely evolved...

The next day I shot these pictures of Sophie hanging out in a plant pot. We were in the midst of intense potty training this day, hence her lack of clothing. We found interesting ways to keep entertained amidst the insanity that is potty training.

Like I said, interesting ways...
