It Was Only 2 Weeks This Time

It has been another couple of busy and fun weeks. I cannot believe how fast my days fly by now!

Sophie convinced Justin to take her to the ice cream man. I'm not sure who loves it more...

Katie is still so fantastically easy!

Sophie was helping me pack for our trip to Torrey.

This picture is a shoutout to our friend Nicole. I'd been telling Justin how small Bicknell really is, and he thought I was exaggerating. Now he's a believer...

My Grandpa's old house in Torrey

Sophie loved roughin' it...

The fun plane in our camp. Sophie and Melissa loved it...

According to Jake they're headed due West, but Danny screamed they were headed for a mountain. Since Danny was driving, I advised the other kids to bail.

Playing the bean game

Katie loves her Grandma Sullivan

I think the feelings are mutual...

Us in Capitol Reef

I didn't get that we were about to pick Will up, so he was nearly dropped on his fanny!

All my siblings minus Max

And in this one Justin had to get a better picture of the corvette... Oh, and we're there too.

April's cute little family

Almost the entire family was able to make it to the reunion.

My cousin Brooke, with Katie, and me. We were the best of friends when we were little.

According to my mom we were terrors, but if you ask us we just had some interesting ways of keeping ourselves entertained such as skating on the kitchen floor in a gallon of oil, dumping all the plants into the couch, and pouring dish soap into everything in the pantry.

There may or may not be many more stories of our antics...
My Grandfather's grave. He is definitely missed!

Katie usually wears cloth diapers, but occasionally I haven't washed them fast enough, and she ends up in a disposable, and then she inevitably ends up getting a bath because she has terrible blow outs. She does look so cute in the sink though.

Sophie loves Simon. Kristy's dad took some amazing photos of my kiddos and Katie and Max together (we're convinced they're going to fall in love someday). I will post them soon. :)

We had a Father's Day celebration with Justin's family Sat.

Justin cookin' some egg rolls. I should mention he's also the best dad ever. My girls sure are lucky!

The dads got blindfolded and their kids helped them find their present. Sophie was not helpful...

But he found it anyway with some help from Aaron's kids...

A family shot

They got binoculars

Then they had fun leading Dan around. But first they had him pick up some candy...

The boys minus Michael

And the girls...

Sunday we spent with my mom and dad. Here's Will with the girls. Sophie really did want to be there until I pulled out the camera...

I feel so bad when I get home and Katie looks like this...

Isn't she oh so cute!

The first fruits of our garden--a zucchini. Yum!

I put curlers in Sophie's hair for the first time. It took me back to the many many times my mom put curlers in my hair.

Sophie was not happy when she discovered I put Katie in her chair.

Katie's First Month

Katie is now officially a month old. I always hated it when my friends had a second child and fell off the blog train, and I have vowed that will not happen to me (especially since this is my main form of journaling). Time sure does fly with two little munchkins to take care of, but I absolutely love it!

Katie is a wonderful baby! She rarely cries; when she does, it's generally because she has a bubble. She is pretty difficult to burp, but I am developing a system. She sleeps very well most nights. Every other night she actually only gets up once between 4 and 4:30. The other nights she gets up 2-3 times but only for 30 minutes or so at a time, so I feel very blessed. She has already gained almost 2 pounds and now weighs in at 8 lbs 14 oz. She is definitely an eater. We just love her so much!

Onto this last month. Warning! This post is incredibly long!

Mother's Day was spent at home in the morning, and then we headed to Justin's parent's after church. Justin and the kids were just fabulous that day, and I feel so lucky to be a mom. Sophie loves to take pictures of herself.

Sophie loves this M&M machine at Grandpa and Grandma's.

Kelsie was doing flips on the grass, and Sophie decided she wanted to join in too.

We took the girls on their first walk the following Monday. Katie wasn't happy at first, but she quickly warmed up to the idea.

I love sweet daddy daughter pictures!

Justin and I got to take Sophie to Creative Minds together since he had a few days off work after Katie was born.

Katie wasn't as impressed with Creative Minds.

Justin spent the entire time building cool tracks for a ball. Yeah, he's a kid at heart...

Will and Katie

My Dad and Katie

Sophie's cousins love to dress her up.

We went to Fiesta Fun and had a blast!

And where was Katie during all this? She was doing what she does best...

Sophie got a new stick horse, and she loves it!

We go on tons of walks to get Mom back in shape.

I love her little faces.

Sophie loves playing with beans.

Katie is growing on Sophie. She tries to be very helpful.

When Katie was 9 days old, we decided to bottle lots and lots of salsa--25 lbs of tomatoes worth.

Justin's mom and Katie

Proud grandparents

This is a classic example of Sophie trying to help. She was rocking Katie--Katie was not pleased...

Shortly after this picture, Sophie pushed Katie off her lap...

Katie's first bath.

Sophie was happy to help.

She loved it!

Katie's photo shoots...

You can see her dimples in this one.

I had to bribe Sophie to kiss Katie...

The girls...

My pretty girl...

Yesterday we went to Justin's work party and had a blast!

Sophie wanted Justin's boss to join her on the train. She loves Valerie...

Gotta love newborn faces...
