More Random Fun

We are finally posting a belly picture! My pregnant belly has finally made its debut! Here I am at 24 weeks. Time is flying by way too fast! While I don't want to be pregnant anymore because of the sickness, I'm not sure I'm ready to have another little one in the house. I guess, ready or not here she comes! We love to take Sophie to the pet store to look at the animals, and I am really not sure what this dog is doing to Justin...

Sophie loves to feed horses! Every time we get in the car, she either wants to go to the gym or feed horses. On this particular day, we had time to stop. We had so much fun!
Don't worry, we keep Sophie's fingers clear of those chompers! She just gets to watch.
We made bean maracas!
Because Justin is graduated, and we have more time together, we have been doing some fun little projects. Here is a puzzle we did...
And one night we decided to string fruit loops on some yarn for necklaces... Sophie was really good at getting them to stay on her nose.
They had so much fun!
The necklaces didn't make it very far though...

I love pictures like this!
Fun with fruit stamping!
On January 3rd it snowed in St George! In the afternoon, when it was a little warmer, we took Sophie out for a bit to explore.
She loves to jump in puddles!
Have you ever seen a happier girl?

Justin taught Sophie how to throw snowballs at Mommy!

I'm glad Sophie got to experience snow!

Our Fun Adventures

I love to post all the random pictures from my camera that don't necessarily fit into a specific posting category. Here are some of those...

Sophie loves to wear her Daddy's jacket.
Sophie loves her Daddy so much, and the feelings are definitely mutual.

Sophie often sits in the towel drawer while I am cooking and cleaning in the kitchen.
Sometimes, she even falls asleep in there. She's so little she fits without a problem.
Sophie loves our afternoon activity time. Here is one that was particularly fun... and messy!
We decided to make gingerbread houses one night and had so much fun! And yes, it required a lot of concentration!
Sophie just loved licking frosting off the graham crackers.
Here we are making Christmas bells...
Sophie got Woody for Christmas to go along with her Buzz. Here she is taking him for a bike ride...

We are doing well and loving life!

Christmas!

We spent Christmas Eve with Justin's family as usual, and we spend Christmas morning at my parent's house, and then we did our Christmas in the evening at our house. We had such a wonderful time with family!

To kick off Christmas Eve, here is Justin smashing our old phone with a hammer! This phone was absolutely terrible as was our service. Justin started out with this phone, and then I had the pleasure of finishing with it. It only worked if it was plugged in, and I didn't get most of my voicemails, so if you thought I was ignoring you, I apologize! Because of our horrible provider, we also didn't get service in our house, so I felt very disconnected from everything.

I am happy to report we now have excellent phones and excellent service! Yeah!

And boy did it feel good to smash this thing to smitherines!
Justin and I were supposed to bring a veggie tray to our Christmas Eve dinner. Justin finished his Bachelor's degree and is not starting on his Master's until August, so with all our new found time together we created this... It was an absolute blast! I think we laughed non-stop the entire hour it took us to make. It's so nice to feel married again!

And here we are eating dinner...
This picture's not great, but here is Sophie finding herself a nice little seat. She plopped right down on Amy's wheelchair. I guess all that walking was exhausting...
Sophie opening her very own white elephant gift...
She wasn't quite sure about her candles, but she was happy to share with mom who was excited!
And here is Justin dominating the present unwrapping game...
Sophie even participated, and she was so happy to do so. She was also very happy to be wearing mom's "pretty" in her hair.
And Justin won the present prize!
And here he is with the ornament he made this year...
Sophie loved Kaden's hat... She also has a little dinosaur magnet in her hand. She always gets this off the fridge and chases people with it. She loves to growl and watch them run away.
Christina, Yvonne, and Bruce joined us this year, and Bruce was so fun to watch open presents. He definitely had the enthusiasm of a little kid!
Sophie opened her presents one piece at a time...
And every piece she pulled off had to go directly into the trash... It was so funny!
Our gift from Dan and Anna. Justin was excited it even had his name on it! The other boys thought they were gypped out of the personalized touch...
This part's a little out of order because we actually did presents at our house in the evening, but here goes...
Justin with his spoils. He got some ties, a shirt, cologne, and some buckle shoes he really wanted. Sophie added the minion...
I got the most wonderful gift! This beautiful piano you see is now all mine! I have been wishing and saving for a while now, and we were able to find a killer deal on this 97 year-old treasure. I also got Despicable Me, a journal, and a Christmas movie!
This was Sophie's present to Justin. She picked them all out by herself. First, I had her pick him a tie, and then she insisted on getting him this Off Repellent fan. She was so excited about it too, so I figured, why not! He got a kick out of it anyway...
Here I am in the actual morning. We had time to open just one gift before heading to Mom and Dad's.
We obviously had to have our annual silly string war...
Sophie wasn't quite sure about all of it...
Sophie got Toy Story bedding and this adorable dress.
At the end of the night, Sophie crashed on this gift I made for her. I also crocheted her the blanket you see in the background. Now her babies have their very own blankets.

We hope you all had a fantastic holiday season!

PS. For New Years we didn't actually get any pictures, but we had a blast at home playing games all night!

Bolin Family Christmas Party

We had such a blast at our annual Bolin family Christmas party!
We were attempting to get a picture with all the kids...

And here we are attempting again...
Sophie got a new baby and Toy Story books from Sandy and Wade. The books have been a life saver because I can convince her to be happy with reading Toys rather than watching it.
She loves her baby and has been taking very good care of her.
We played a super awesome game DeeAnn made. Here is Sophie helping out...
Tucker got Buzz for his present. In order to avoid many headache tantrums, we brought Sophie's Buzz too. One of the little girls dressed her up as a princess, and she loved it!

Sophie's 2nd Birthday

When Sophie was born, everyone told me that time with her would just fly by. Well, the first year seemed pretty normal and not too fast, but the 2nd year! I really do not know where time went, but I am grateful I have been able to spend that time as a stay-at-home mom to the sweetest little thing ever!

We had a fun little birthday party for Sophie at our house. I had the sweetest little dress picked out for her to wear, but alas, the child will always prefer her Toys pajamas.

Here she is with her new learning laptop from Simon and Kristy. Sophie didn't quite understand about posing for pictures, and she wasn't sure about opening her presents in front of so many people, but she loved all her new toys.
My parents gave Sophie Buzz which was a huge hit with her. She still sleeps with him every night. Buzz is rather annoying, so sometimes he has to rest by taking his batteries out!

Sophie was pretty dazed the entire time. She wasn't sure why everyone was paying so much attention. Here she is with her baby stroller from Mommy and Daddy.
She got many more wonderful presents, and we were so grateful for supportive family!
I made Sophie a frog cake because that's what she said she wanted. We didn't get any pictures, but I do have a video of it.
.
Some fun things about Sophie:
.
Sophie no longer takes naps, but she loves to put all her toys down for naps all day. Much of our time is spent wandering up and down the stairs to her room to put her various toys to sleep. She lays them in her bed, gives them "tisses n a hug," and then she closes the door and says, "Wuv you Woody, Buzz, Baby" (or whatever she's putting down). We then go back downstairs, and we generally repeat the process every 10 to 15 minutes. I think it's the sweetest thing ever!
.
Sophie is now in a big girl bed as of her birthday party. The transition was much better than I expected especially since her bed is so high (pictures will follow eventually...).
.
Sophie loves to give everyone "tisses n a hug" before we leave anywhere, and she gives them to me often throughout the day.
.
Sophie loves Toy Story and can name every character from the movie.
.
Sophie loves to play outside, and she has had a hard time since the cold has set in not being able to go outside all day. I've also had a hard time with this because my house doesn't stay as tidy as before...
.
Sophie says little prayers all by herself, and she always finishes by throwing up her arms and shouting "amen!" She even does this at church much to my chagrin and other's delight.
.
Sophie decided the day after her birthday she wanted to go in the potty and has been pretty good at going ever since.
.
Sophie is not very good at sharing her toys, but we are working on it before our next baby arrives.
.
Sophie is such a comedian! She loves to make faces, dance silly, or do anything to make us laugh!
.
We love her so much and are so grateful she came to our home!
