Panguitch

My family reunion was so fun, as always! Sophie loved getting dirty! I think this picture explains that as well as anything! The kids made a sand castle, and Justin and I were their helpers.

This shot was so sad. Tucker fell off his truck just as Justin snapped the picture!

The after shot of the mud fiasco!

I had an accident with one of my contacts. It scratched my eye to pieces! There was even some blood coming out; I know, gruesome right! So I was stuck in these glasses for over a week. This was the first day my eye didn't look like a tomato!

We got Sophie all cleaned up and in her pajamas, and then we find her doing this...

Sophie all ready for church on Sunday. No, we didn't let her wear the hat.

Sophie pushed Tucker around in his little Tonka truck. They had a fantastic time!

Tucker absolutely loved Panguitch!

Will with his girlfriend Kourtney. Don't ask me how he got a girl that cute; it's a mystery to everyone, including Will.

Sophie loved playing with her cousin Katelyn.

Where there is water, there is sure to be a Sophie!

My mom probably sold her soul because she seems to be the only one who can consistently catch fish in Panguitch Lake!

On our way to the parade!

Sophie and Mommy!

All of us at the Panguitch parade!

Sophie absolutely loved picking up the candy!

The kids were obsessed with Jen's ipod games. They followed her around the entire time...

My eye is all better!

Sophie was very sad to leave all that dirt!

Thanks to the fam for another great year!

My New Dishwasher!

I mentioned in the previous post that I got a new dishwasher a few weeks ago. We actually went to a 4th of July sale to get it because I'll admit, it's one convenience I'm not willing to go without. After almost 6 months of washing dishes by hand, I couldn't be more thrilled for a new one!

Before, I had a difficult time keeping my house clean because I always got so discouraged by the amount of dishes I had to do, but now I'm able to keep the house looking presentable (I say presentable because anyone with a toddler knows that's all anyone can expect)!

Installing the dishwasher was quite the feat! We decided to save $100.00 and install it ourselves, and this would have worked had it not been for the fact that the dishwasher didn't fit into the hole!
Sophie and I did make a really fun fort with the dishwasher box!

And here are the dishes just waiting to go into the dishwasher! As soon as we bought it, I stopped doing dishes. It meant our kitchen was a complete disaster for a few days, but I was at my dish doing limit!
We ended up having to saw off some little plastic pieces, and then the dishwasher fit just fine.
This dishwasher is one of the best things that ever happened to me! I don't even have to rinse the dishes before putting them in! Can life get any better? I submit that it cannot!

Justin's New Job

Justin just started a new job! He was promoted to supervisor at Allconnect. He was planning on becoming a supervisor, but not for a few more months. An opportunity arose, and his boss wanted him to take it, so after much discussion and lots of prayer, he took it.
This means a very busy semester is upon us. Justin finishes his Bachelor's degree in December, but until then, he will be working 40 hours (he used to work 30) and going to school full time. We are also trying to decide where to go for Justin to get his Master's degree.
We are just planning to better utilize the time we do have together, and we are sure to learn tons!
I am so proud of my fantastic husband!
This is a picture of Justin installing out new dishwasher! I have been washing dishes by hand for 6 months. You can see in the background, I was storing up dirty dishes to put in my new washer. :) (Post to follow)

July 4th

I finally got this post up! We had a fantastic 4th of July! We started off the day by heading to the parade. (The parade was a little lacking I must say.)
I made Sophie's little shirt...

We got these lovely glasses. They kind of freaked Sophie out...
After the parade, we headed out to lunch with some friends. Outback has a fantastic gluten free menu!
After lunch, we went and saw this movie! And I loved it! I know that qualifies me as a nerd, but alas, I don't care!
Whilst we were at the movie, Sophie went to play in the river with Justin's parents (we figured the movie was a little mature). She had a fantastic time and didn't want to leave.
When we went to pick her up, she wanted to play a little longer...
After that, we went to Sandhollow, and we had a fantastic time rock jumping!
I jumped once, and Sophie got quite upset when I disappeared under the water. She wouldn't let me jump again the entire time. Justin, on the other hand, she was okay with... I shouldn't say this, but Simon was too chicken to jump off, so he hung out with Sophie and I on the rock (but you didn't hear it from me...).

Kristy preparing for her big jump! Once she worked up to it,..
...
She approved of the activity!
We didn't get a picture of Justin jumping, but he was a champ!
That night we had a barbecue, and we ate this delicious gluten free creation!

It was a very busy and very fantastic day!

An Update

I decided to do a post of all the random pictures that didn't find a home in past posts.
Everyone loves a Sophie picture to begin with!
I made Sophie an indoor "sandbox." Here she is playing in a box of pinto beans. It kept her entertained for hours!

She is always hungry, so she spends a lot of time asking me to open the fridge. She usually wants grapes, prunes, or cheese.
We played "The Office Trivia Game" with our friends. Here is Simon tackling one of the challenges! Ha Ha!

There are no words...
And then Kristy and I decided to can these beautiful peaches. We got them from bountiful baskets!

Justin had to work, so Simon entertained Sophie for us!
We had a fabulous time!
Then Sophie helped Kristy cut up some fruit.
But she got tired part way through...

And this is what Sophie's hair looks like first thing in the morning!
Sophie was running from me when I was trying to take this picture. She is so entertaining!
I just absolutely love my beautiful baby girl! She is getting so big--I can hardly believe how time flies!
